About Me

Trusted Counselor & Life Mastery Coach

Hello, my name is Marilyn Marie Dabney. I have a Bachelor's degree in Christian Counseling. I am a Certified Lay Counselor, Christian Counselor and Life Mastery Coach. I've completed Substance Abuse, Suicide Prevention, and Domestic Violence Training. I have over 2 years of experience as a mentor for Juvenile Delinquent Youth Offenders. I have over 5 years of counseling/ coaching experience. My desire is to assist as many people as possible on their journey to wholeness and life mastery; whether it's building heathier relationships, starting a business or restoring a marriage. I am also an Inspirational Speaker for both youth and adults. I use my platform to inspire, encourage, and unapologetically share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Cancellation Policy Update

Effective April 15, 2021, all Cancellations made within 24- hours or less will be subjected to a $50 cancellation/rescheduling fee. This includes "no call no shows" and rescheduled requests. Clients are provided one complementary rescheduled session without penalty to be used as an emergency cancellation. All cancellations thereafter are subjected to a $50 cancellation/ rescheduling fee. If a client does not show up for a session within 10 minutes of start time and has not reached out to the Specialist informing cancellation, it is deemed as a "no call no show". "No call no shows" are NOT considered an emergency cancellation and will be immediately subjected to the $50 cancellation/ rescheduling fee.

All payments are non-refundable and cannot be used as an interchangeable session. If, for any reason clients must cancel a paid session, payments can be used towards a future rescheduled session up to 6 months after the original scheduled session date. After the 6-month period from the original session date, paid session will be forfeited, and a new payment invoice will be required to schedule a future session. Rescheduled sessions may be subjected to $50 cancellation/rescheduling fee. All cancellation fees are due immediately and must be paid in full prior to rescheduling next session. Discounted plans apply.

COVID-19 Updates

As a health and safety precaution, all in-person sessions require Clients and Specialists to wear a mask at all times, keep at least six (6) feet distance, and refrain from physical contact. (Couples and family members are excluded from having to social distance from each other).

Note: Office space will be sanitized and disinfected in between sessions.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as a safety precaution for our Clients and Specialists, Courageous SELFcare Specialists, LLC has added virtual sessions as an option. Virtual sessions will be handled with the same care, privacy and professionalism as in-person or phone sessions.
